We are pleased to offer the customers of The Lines Company access to our new mobile app. Features include optional audible notifications for Load Control Alerting, Fault Information, Planned Outages, along with an interactive map - this app has been developed to provide customers with better visibility of the network status.

We will be continuing to update the mobile app with new enhancements so please check for updated versions on a regular basis. Any feedback you have about the service is welcome either by email or you can call us on 0800 367 546 option 1

How to Use

You can download this app by opening this page on the device that you would like the app installed on and clicking on the correct icon below for your device. Alternatively you can use the app store located on your device and search for The Lines Company.

Once the app is installed enter an ICP number from your TLC invoice. Your ICP number is 15 characters long and is found on the first page of your TLC invoice under Current Account Summary. Alternatively you can look for your ICP number on your energy retailer invoice. More than one ICP can be added.

Push Notification Disclaimer

Under certain circumstances you may not receive the notifications that are sent.

Please be aware that your device will not receive notifications if it is out of range/offline when they are sent.
Only the most recent notification will be stored and delivered to the device once it is back online or in service.
If your phone is connected to wifi please check the settings to ensure your device can recieve notifications.

Load Control Disclaimer

The Load Control notifications provided by the app are an indicator of Load Control and there may be times when the relay in place at your property and the Load Control Indicator Map differ.

The Load Control notifications provided by the app are an indicator of Load Control within a Grid Exit Point (GXP) region only.
The map is not connected to individual meters or relays.
There may be times when the relay in place at your property and the Load Control Indicator Map differ.
The map will indicate that a period of Load Control has started when a signal has been sent to any of the multiple domestic relay channels within a GXP region. You will receive a load control started notification at that point.
The map will remain indicating a period of Load Control until the End signal has been sent to the last domestic relay channel for that GXP region and you will receive a load control has ended notification at that point.

Load Control Pending Disclaimer

Pending notifications are not able to be provided when Load Control has been activated for emergency reasons.
An alert for Load Control Pending does not guarantee that a period of Load Control will follow as the Load Control pending notifications are triggered when a threshold is reached in that GXP region.

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

An ICP number is all that is required to run The Lines Company Mobile App. No personal user information is requested, stored, or required to run The Lines Company Mobile App.
This app will not collect, transmit, or have the capability to share personal information (e.g. name, address, email, location, photos, videos, drawings, the ability to chat, other personal data, or persistent identifiers used in combination with any of the above).

User Provided Information 

There is no user provided information stored when using The Lines Company Mobile App.

Automatically Collected Information

We use information we collect from your mobile device to improve the service. This information is only collected as a form of crash and debug analysis for the future development of the app. The app has been designed to not rely on, or store, any user’s personal information.

Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?

This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device. Analytics software, to help us improve future releases of the app, may store geographic location data but this is not precise information about the location of your mobile device.
