How to read your new meter

Your new meter will be able to scroll through lots of different screens. If you want to check your consumption but don’t want an in-home display you can read your meter by looking at the digital screen on the front of your meter.

The left hand side of the screen will tell you what information you are currently reading. The right hand side of the screen will display the figures.

The screen will change every 20 seconds to display a different set of information. There will be three screens for consumption.

24 hr will appear on the left hand side. On the right the figure that you will be able to read is the total consumption since the meter has been installed in kW hours (or units).

Day will appear next on the left hand side. The number on the right is the total units that have been used in the daytime (between 6am and midnight) since the meter was put in.

Nite is the next screen title. The number on the right is the number of units used between midnight and 6am since the meter has been put in.

You can check if you have got the right figures as the day and the nite figures should add up to the 24 hr figure.
